The Adjacent Possible is a course designed to help high school students like you build resilience, flexibility, and confidence as you plan for the future. Instead of locking yourself into a single path, you’ll learn how to:
- Explore multiple pathways to the same career field so you always have options.
- Identify your transferable skills—the abilities you can take anywhere, no matter what job you choose.
- Adapt and pivot when challenges or roadblocks show up, without losing sight of your bigger goals.
- Create your own Adjacent Possible map, where you’ll chart out at least three ways to reach the same career field or dream job.
Through real-world examples (like pilots and teachers with multiple routes to success) and hands-on exercises, you’ll discover that there’s never just one way forward. You’ll leave this course not just with a plan, but with the mindset and skills to adjust that plan whenever life changes course.
